Product Description
This file includes 7 reader's response activities that are based on The Three Snow Bears by Jan Brett. 2 pages of brief teacher directions are also included.

The first activity is a Beginning-Middle-End activity with space to draw and write about each part {available with lines and without}.

The second and third activities are designed to go together. For these, you will also need a copy of Goldilocks and the Three Bears {choose your favorite!}. In the second activity, students complete the chart/matrix to compare/contrast characters, setting, and plot in both stories. This is available in lined and unlined versions.

In the third activity, students use their chart as a prewriting organizer to complete the two paragraph compare/contrast response. Small bookmarks have been included with suggested words to include when comparing/contrasting.

The fourth activity is a questioning activity. Students answer the questions and identify types of questions {those that can be answered from the text vs. those that cannot}.

The fifth activity identifies 5 vocabulary words from the story and quotes how they are used in the story. Students write a meaning for each word.

The sixth and seventh activities are character activities. The sixth activity is a character quilt square. Students choose a character and write/draw about them.

The seventh activity is creative response, where students complete a newspaper interview from the point-of-view of Aloo-ki, and then Baby Bear.
