Teaching students about purposes for reading can be--well, a little dull. I tried to liven things up a bit with these three scripts. Each short play includes 4-5 fairly equal parts, and looks at why readers choose books. The three plays include "A Giant in the Library", "Way Out West", and "Bakery Business." A great choice for centers, previewing, or fluency practice. A reflection sheet for students is included at the end.
