Providing meaningful mini lessons at the beginning of the school year is one step to setting up a successful Reader's Workshop. Every grade should start with procedures in order to set up your expectations for how Reader's Workshop will run. This product is my third packet of lessons for Back to School. It includes lessons 11-15. If you have not grabbed the other two packets, check them out in my store! Packet one is a freebie!
11- Strategy Focus: Rereading
12- Skill Work: Distinguishing Fantasy and Reality
13- Procedure: Individual Book Boxes
14- Procedure: Self-Selecting New Books
15- What do readers do after finishing a book?
All of these lessons are great for grades K-6. Each lesson includes: Materials, book titles, student learning objectives, before, during, and after teaching strategies, and detailed "teacher talk" that can be printed and left for even a substitute to teach.
Don't miss more lessons this year! Follow my store!
