Need a few free items to add to your Reader's Workshop toolbag for the start of the year? This document includes a reader self-evaluation that asks students to describe what kind of reader they are. It also includes an independent reading log sheet that can be cut out and glued into the pages of a composition notebook. The log sheet has students record the date, title, page numbers read, and genre of the book they are reading. Also included are four skits you can use at the beginning of the year to model effective and ineffective readers workshop behaviors. Skits are ready to be copied. They provide an opportunity for you to communicate your reader's workshop expectations.
I would appreciate any feedback and/or rating for this item.
