Extend your reading lessons beyond your classroom with Reading around the World. Students will practice reading and writing while learning about cultures and traditions from throughout the world. Each pack includes two paired lessons along with a writing lesson.

he Importance of Names pack features the books "The Name Jar" by Yankgsook Choi and "Alma and How She Got Her Name" by Juana Martinez-Neal. Students will read and learn about how names hold a special importance. This pack features detailed reading lessons along with printables and presentations along with a narrative writing plan with a presentation and printables.
The Music Around the World pack features the books "Ada's Violin" by Susan Hood and "Drum Dream Girl" by Margarita Engle and Rafael Lopez. Students will read and learn about The Recycled Orchestra in Cateura, Paraguay and a Chinese-African-Cuban girl who was the first female drummer in Cuba, where drumming was not permitted for females.This pack features detailed reading lessons along with printables and presentations along with an opinion writing plan with a presentation and printables.
The Biblioburro pack features the books "Biblioburro" by Jeanette Winter and "Waiting for the Biblioburro" by Monica Brown. Students will learn about a library in Colombia that travels through rural villages by burro. This pack features detailed reading lessons along with printables and presentations along with a narrative writing plan with a presentation and printables.
