Get started back to school with this bundle designed especially for the reading class. The syllabus or course description begins with a description of the class, and includes general Information, course objectives, grading and evaluation, supplies, attendance and participation, and contact information. Use this model for a dynamite syllabus.

It includes information for an activity to help you get to know your students and at the same time creates a folder for you to keep student records. Keeping this folder for student records gives you the added benefit of reminding you about important things in their life by looking at their folder.
This autobiographical activity lets you get to know your students. Not only will you find out about them but you will also be able to assess their writing. Completing one short writing assignment each day, the students will be amazed at their final product. The reading survey is a two page questionnaire asking about their experiences as a reader. interests, and questions designed to give the teacher information about the students' attitude toward school and reading.
