This activity consists of 10 discussion cards from the book If You Lived 100 Years Ago by Anne McGovern (part of the If you series published by Scholastic).
Duplicate and have the students cut apart the cards. In groups the students can pass out the cards and take turns reading a card and then discussing what the answer is from the book. If several copies of the book are available each group could have their own book to use.
The teacher could also use the book as a read aloud and then have students discuss the questions. A copy of the book could be placed in a literacy center and then in partners the students could read the book and discuss the questions.
We have included what pages the answers can be found on for easy reference.
There can be some great discussions with the questions in the book and maybe even lead to some more research about this subject.
