Are you looking for a leveled text that includes reading comprehension activities, text dependent questions and vocabulary activities? This non-fiction text will inspire your students to reach for the stars while they practice comprehending a complex text about a modest and resourceful man.

This biography traces the life of Neil Armstrong from childhood through his landing on the moon and beyond. You get the same article at three different levels, allowing for flexibility and easy differentiation. There are also vocabulary and comprehension activities, including an Integrating Information activity that asks students to analyze a video clip of President Kennedy's speech, cut in with video from the space program and the moon landing.

Here's what you get:

1. A three page biography at three different levels (1000 - 1100 Lexile, 900 - 1000 Lexile, and 800 - 900 Lexile.) The levels are appropriate for most 4th, 5th and 6th graders.

2. Three Language and Vocabulary activities (Word Wonder, Context and Connections and Superb Suffixes).

3 Three comprehension activities (What's the Gist?, Text Dependent Questions and Integrating Information).

4. All the activities come with an Answer Key and/or Rubric to make grading simple!

There are suggested schedules and ideas for how to use each activity.
