**Some suggestions for use (but feel free to use your own!):**
* Start from Mabel the Cow and increase number of questions as student’s show progress.
*Have students circle words they do not know and then look
them up in the dictionary to teach independence of this skill.
* Information in all stories are all true facts!
* Have student’s underline “proof found in the text” when
answering questions (highlighters can be used as well).
*Use Data Trackers consistently to show growth or areas of weakness (evidence based practice!)
*Have students use pictures to assist them in answering
questions or maintaining topic. Generate more questions of your own to continue conversational discourse.
*Have students answer or write in full sentences. Practicing
typing? Open a document and have students type their answers.
*Please see data tracker sample to see how I fill out the forms! Print out one data tracker per student to help keep efficient data. Use the note section to write down observations. Feel free to fill out the forms as you see fit!
*"My Strategies Page" can be used as a visual for your
students during reading and answering!
