Are you looking for an engaging reading comprehension activity that's perfect for Valentine's Day, Halloween or any day? This is the adventure for you! This Google Form Escape Room hook your students with a zany adventure through the chocolate factory! Your students will practice reading comprehension, learn interesting history and science, and giggle at the antics of the characters and the mouthwatering scenery!

For a preview of this resource, check out this video on my YouTube channel!

Students will love this delicious adventure through the Chocolate Factory! Each adventure is unique based on the decisions of the students! The class heads to the factory on a field trip. Two embedded videos and non-fiction texts are woven into an interesting story that forces students to make lots of decisions. Sometimes their decisions lead to candy and chocolates, and sometimes they result in glares from the teacher!

The purpose of this activity is to teach students about the history, chemistry and science of chocolate while they enjoy a light hearted adventure. The comprehension questions hold them accountable for the information and make this a great activity for non-fiction comprehension practice. The videos and text share a lot of information with students, making this a lot of fun as part of a unit on chemistry, nutrition, or for Valentine's Day, Halloween, or any chocolate-day!

There are comprehension questions to focus students on important information. However, each adventure is unique, which means students may not answer every question. To assess students on this information, you can get one of these articles as a freebie, including comprehension questions.
