This Reading Comprehension paragraph was written to reinforce the concept of the verb ESTAR and prepositions of place, as well as target vocabulary. The paragraph is written from the viewpoint of a new teacher who is describing her classroom, explaining where everything is. It uses various conjugations of ESTAR as well as a few of SER and HAY to review. Many different prepositions are used so that students are reviewing the various ones. The target vocabulary are classroom items. Students read the paragraph on their own and circle any words they do not know, then answer the questions. Afterwards, the teacher will go through the paragraph having the students help with translation. Then students will share their answers to the questions. This is also designed to be used as a guide for their own writing assignment.
