Reading Comprehension Grade 3
Fictional Story - Arrr Me Mighty!
1) Grade 3 Students
2) Grade 2 Students - Advanced
My goal as a teacher has always been to create educational resources that inspire students to get excited about learning.
This Reading Comprehension Product includes an adventurous short story about a Pirate named Max. There is an element of excitement in this story, which will allow you an opportunity to teach your students to use expression in their reading. To go along with the story are a series of reading comprehension questions and activities. The questions and activities range from simply recalling information directly from the text to using advanced thinking like predictions, inferences, contextual clues, analysis, evaluation, and sequencing.
This is an excellent Reading Comprehension product to include in your Emergency Sub Plans.

The following are two ideas you might like to use for the answer key.
1) If you laminate the answer key, you can get your students to check their own answers. The students can make the proper corrections and hopefully master the concept. These answer keys work great for Language Arts Centres. The students are always eager to check their own work!
2) Teachers that are moving towards “paperless classrooms” are using downloadable educational resources in PDF Format as homework assignments on different technology devices. PDF Files such as this product would allow parents access to the answers.
