Reading Comprehension Leveled Daily Curriculum {LEVEL 3}

This resource provides a year long reading comprehension curriculum that focuses on teaching advanced phonics concepts while sights word fluency. The curriculum is structured, visually based, breaks down larger skills into manageable steps, embeds assessments, and utilizes data based decision making.

There are 8 Units included plus a review unit! Each unit includes:

• a pre-test and post-test
• grading rubric with data based decision making component
• 2 anchor charts
• 20 activities
• word flashcards

Level 3 focuses on advanced skills. The skills included in this unit are:

• text levels G - J or 200LL - 400L
• sight words - Fry second 100 words
• less common vowel patterns
• soft and hard C and G words
• final consonant/vowel ending sound words
• identify main ideas and supporting details
• sequence a story or passage
• make predictions and inferences
• identify and utilize nonfiction text features
• use and cite evidence from the text
• compare and contrast stories and passages

This curriculum is designed to use one activity per day. Your reading comprehension instruction for the entire year is planned! Over 180+ activities included.
