Reading Comprehension Notebook Kindergarten - Distance Learning

This Kindergarten comprehension notebook will provide your students with rigorous and focused daily comprehension practice. Each week includes an original text for students to read or have read to them. Each day, the students will practice a comprehension skill related to the text for the week.

What does this product include?

The packet includes 30 weeks worth of comprehension practice. This can be used in a whole group or small group setting, and is perfect for a reading intervention as well.

*You will also find a link in the PDF to add this to your Google Slide Deck. (You will need to add text boxes yourself or have students add them.)

Who is this product geared towards?

This particular packet is geared towards Kindergarten students, but can be used with lower 1st graders. I personally use different grade level Comprehension Notebooks in my classroom to meet the individual needs of my students.

How can I use this product in my classroom?

Comprehension Notebooks can be used in a variety of ways in your classroom. If most of your students are on the same reading level, comprehension notebooks are great to use in a whole group setting. If you have students with many different reading levels, use Comprehension Notebooks in a small group setting. I personally like to use a variety of grade levels of my Comprehension Notebooks to differentiate for all of the levels of readers in my classroom.

Even though the Comprehension Notebook is broken into a 5-day plan, you can complete more than one day per setting. I usually break these into two class settings, but you can use these in any format that works best in your classroom.

Comprehension Notebooks also work well as homework or morning work.
