Description
Are your comprehension passages too challenging for your English Language Learners or your beginner writers? Mine were! That's the reason I created this pack. These passages have helped my students to read the phonics skills we are learning in context while being exposed to sight words as well as simple sentences.
**STOP** You may already own one of the resources in this bundle. Please check before purchasing.
Each packet includes passages with phonics focus skills with two versions of each. One version has sentence frames so that students can answer the questions and have a model of how to answer in complete sentences. Students only need to fill in the blanks. The other version has the same questions, but without the sentence frames. Once students are able to generate complete sentences on their own, they can answer the questions and use evidence from the text.
Each passage includes simple sentences, a picture cue, and questions that can be easily supported by the text.
