It is so important that our students are able to think critically about nonfiction & fiction texts, and use text evidence to identify answers to questions. This product gives students an opportunity to do both things!

4 passages are included in this product, which makes it possible to last a whole month, depending on how you use it. This low-prep design only requires you to print and start teaching! You can print the passages and question sets front and back to minimize the papers you manage.

Instead of comprehension questions, you can print one of three graphic organizers that ask students to apply common reading strategies to the texts they have read.

This versatile product can be used for whole group reading lessons, small group lessons, centers, partner activities, or whatever you can dream up!

The four passages in this product are titled:

Valentine Worries (Fiction)

Snow Day? (Fiction)

Saint Valentine (Non Fiction)

How to Be a Friend (Non Fiction)

Each passages comes with 5 short-answer comprehension questions.
