    Description

Practice reading comprehension & questions with your 4th & 5th-grade students during the school year, in tutorials, over the summer, for distance learning, and homeschool. This product has recently been updated to include a digital and self-grading option (multiple choice) & is also printable.

THIS RESOURCE IS AVAILABLE IN A DIGITAL OPTION: READING COMPREHENSION PASSAGES & QUESTIONS BUNDLE (short answer option)

This Reading Comprehension Passages Bundle contains 20 passages with questions. It can be used as STAAR review, test prep, during summer school, private tutoring, home school, independent work, and/or homework.

The bundle is also sold as separate reading packets in my store. Separately, each packet contains 5 passages that have a multiple-choice version, a short answer version, and a digital option. These are provided so that the teacher can choose which option is best for the student. ALSO included: READING STRATEGIES POSTERS/PENNANT ACTIVITY AND BOOKMARKS!!

    Show your students how to:

    ❀ use context clues

    ❀ make predictions

    ❀ find the main idea

    ❀ use text evidence

    ❀ use figurative language properly

    ❀ find the theme

    ❀ infer within the text

❀ point of view and much more!

These reading passages will help you understand the skills your readers may struggle with. They are long enough for independent work and can be used in a small group setting, in centers, or for homework. Furthermore, I used them while tutoring students, reviewing for major tests, and state test prep as well.

I added the reading strategies poster I use in my classroom. The poster is great to use year-round. Once the reading strategy is taught, students can show their learning with the pennant activity provided. This is great for tracking academic progress and using it as a visual representation for parent conferences. Also, there are bookmarks included so that students have a place marker. Lastly, thereading comprehension passages bundle is a great resource to develop literacy fundamentals!

PLEASE NOTE: If using this over the summer, it is great for a 3rd grader headed into the 4th grade, or a 4th grader going into 5th grade. Additionally, I have used this in tutorials with students below a 6th-grade reading level.
