Given three sentence options, students must choose the one that best describes the picture given.
Purpose: Allows students to practice their reading and comprehension skills as well as their ability to infer and analyze picture details - all very necessary skills for early readers.
1. 5 pages (20 problems total) – students look at the picture and choose which of the 3 sentences best describes the picture.
2. 2 challenge pages (8 problems total) – students look at the picture and finish the sentence/picture description & students look at the picture and write their own descriptive sentence.
Uses: reading workshop/center, morning work, small group instruction, independent reading practice, early finishers, etc.
