While driving to the store, I heard a song on the radio that would have made a hot selling soundtrack for a book I just finished. I thought to myself, "How cool would that be to have students create playlists for their book?" In this download, students do just that! They cite a specific quote (or scene) from the book and explain why a certain song describes the scene perfectly.
Any film analyst will tell you the importance of music in a movie. The music is what makes a film suspenseful or calm. Your students will get a chance to dive into their book on a new level. It also pairs really well with music integration because they have to focus on moods (sound quality, instruments, major/minor keys, etc.)
