Independent reading comprehension questions (for teacher use)
Students are suppose to be independent reading everyday in order to become better readers and sustain learning. Sometimes, it is hard to know if their reading is being comprehended. Print these questions on cardstock and keep them with your monitoring notebook. This will help to verify understanding of what students read.
These questions can be used with any fiction or non-fiction book. They are great whether your student just began the story, is in the middle of, or close to the end of the book.
I hope you enjoy!
