"The Feathers in Calvin's Room" is a simple but fun story for students who have language or reading difficulties, autism, other learning disabilities, or for very early readers. This can be used in early intervention, in classrooms, in individual sessions, or by parents.
In this story there is a clear beginning middle and end, problem and solution, and answers to 'wh' questions, and inferencing. The story also addresses animals and attributes, as the main character, Calvin, interacts with a cat who has soft fur, a lizard who has scales and a bird who has feathers.

- simple language
