Robot's broken button is a simple but fun story for students who have language or reading difficulties, autism, other learning disabilities, or for very early readers. This can be used in early intervention, in classrooms, in individual sessions, or by parents.
In this story, there is a clear beginning middle and end, problem and solution, and answers to 'wh' questions. The story also addresses community helpers, as the main character, the robot, interacts with a waiter, a dentist, and a handyman.
In this short story the student will have an opportunity to work on:
- community helpers
- simple reading comprehension questions
- critical thinking questions
- simple language
Accompanying reading comprehension maps and worksheets can also be downloaded for free.
