A comprehension study guide is used to help students organize information into meaningful and useable chunks. It is a during-reading comprehension tool. I created this one to help my Sophomore English students organize and remember the important information from multiple texts we read during our unit on short stories. I made double-sided copies and stapled five together for a total of ten comprehension study guides per packet. Each student then received a packet to fill out. After the students had filled them out, at the end of the unit, they were able to take the packet home and use it to prepare for the unit test. They loved it!
