Reading Comprehension Worksheets give students practice reading a short passage and answering questions about it. The first question requires students to interact with an illustration. They may need to color it according to the text or add something to it to match the text. The second question is a multiple-choice fill in the blank. It gives students practice eliminating answers or finding the answer in the text. The third question includes a sentence frame with a blank for students to fill in. The fourth part gives students practice reading and writing words from the text. I believe that reading and writing are interrelated. Writing about the text improves their reading.
The three math shapes are there to reinforce the three most difficult math shapes for my students in kindergarten. It also allows me to review the difference between 2D and 3D shapes. You can also have students write the numbers 1, 2, and 3 in the shapes each time they read the passage.
