The Reading Concerns Checklist is designed to help teachers and parents team together to identify which reading skills a child may have trouble mastering. It can give teachers valuable information to share with other teachers, specialists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Educational Therapists or School Psychologists. This information can be key in determining interventions or when choosing assessment tools. It can also be used to show growth during interventions or to plan interventions and practice during winter break, spring break, or summer break. The checklist also contains scoring instructions as well as a sample checklist and a sample score-sheet to help you make sure you are scoring it correctly. The Reading Concern Checklist for Kindergarten aligns with the Common Core State Standards for Reading.
