Keeping track of your students’ reading goals and progress can be a challenge. This sheet allows you to take note of important elements of your students’ reading behaviors on one simple sheet. During reading conferences, you can quickly and easily notate book choice, book level, fluency, strategies used, comprehension, and book difficulty. There is also an area to take notes, write observations or goals. There is space for four reading conferences per sheet, making it easy to get a bird’s-eye glance at previous reading conferences without too much paper flipping.
Each sheet is designed to be used for one student. To create a reading conferring binder, print out one sheet per student. There are three versions. The first is centered to the page, the second has space for binder holes to be placed on top, and the third has space for the binder holes to be placed on the bottom. You can create front-to-back sheets for a binder by using the second and third version back-to-back.
