These question cards can help students lead their own reading discussions in guided reading or shared reading with a little prompting. Who doesn't love student led discussions?
These cards are broken into different sections;
Purple - questions for within the text
Blue - questions about the text
Green - questions beyond the text.
These questions are for any reading level and any book fiction/ nonfiction. These cards hit all kinds of different comprehension reading strategies. Some of the strategies hit with these cards are; inferring, summarize, predicting, making connections, analyzing, etc.
I printed these 2 or 4 to a page to make them smaller. I then laminated them, cut them out, and glued them to popsicle sticks for students to pick 1 of each color during guided reading literature circles.
