Reading Dailies builds students’ reading skills by breaking down complex reading into small, more manageable tasks. Reading Dailies build students’ reading and writing skills through weekly lessons that teach students skills needed to understand fiction and nonfiction texts.
This engaging, supplemental program includes 19 units and 19 Checkpoint Assessments. Each unit and Checkpoint Assessment is available as an interactive lesson or downloadable PDF and includes 3, 4, or 5 lessons that are designed to be completed in a single week. Each lesson within a unit is designed to take about one day and requires students to read and reread a passage and write about it. Checkpoints assess students’ understanding of the main strategy at the end of each week, giving teachers the summative data needed to assess whether students have mastered the skills.
