The writing allows students to write their own story from a picture given to them. The story has them reading the somewhat predictable text, appropriately leveled words, and work on fluency. The written questions are used to find out the main idea and answer who, what, & where questions. The visuals are used to help students who have trouble comprehending, or are more visual learners to work on "picturing" what they are reading.
