Reading Evidence/Analysis/Media Literacy Graphic Organizer
Task: You will analyze the video with the read to write strategy. With this specific hook . . . (this is the purpose for the read. Either set by the teacher or the students BEFORE the read.)
Read the article one time through.
Read the article a second time and as you find information that relates to the HOOK type it in middle column. This will be your evidence.
Saying: In the left column analyze the evidence you wrote in the middle column and write how each of the pieces of information relates to the Hook. This will be your analysis.
Doing: In the third column analyze your notes and explain what the author's purpose. What does the author want you to think about the hook? What side are they on? How do you know that(evidence)? This is the media Literacy portion.
