This lesson is written and developed by me in Teacher's College format, including all components; Teaching Point, aim, motivation, rationale, CCLS, teaching point, active engagement, link, and share. I also included pictures of the anchor charts that can be used, as well as the materials to make the charts if you are using the same texts. The texts used in this lesson are popular books found in the National Geographic Kids series: Deadliest Animals and Snakes by Melissa Stewart, and Wild Weather: Tornado by Catherine Chambers. You can however choose your own non-fiction texts and revise the lesson. You can also revise the motivation if you don't want to use puppets to get the kids engaged with the idea. Either way, this is a formal lesson plan that can be adjusted according to what your students need.
