Ever had a hard time discussing your students' reading levels with their parents and what they mean exactly? I found myself having a hard time with that as well so created this reading progress report that I provide with parents after each BAS benchmark period.
These letters inform the parents of their child's reading level, its grade level equivalency, where they need to be at the end of the year, how many levels of growth needed, a box where you describe how you support their child at school, a box where you describe how they can support their child at home, and a box to provide them with free online resources.
There are 3 pages. One for the beginning of the year, middle of the year, and the end of the year.
Simple but incredibly effective and great for documentation!
