This is a reading level report that can be used to report a child's reading level after assessing them using the benchmark books for Reading A-Z.
The report includes sections for:
*the child's reading level
*whether or not self-corrections were made
*the types of errors made (during the accuracy assessment)
*types of comprehension errors
Also included is a blank report that explains each section of the assessment to the parents. I usually give this out at back to school night and it has been incredibly helpful in getting parents to understand how a running record is performed and assessed. It explains how the accuracy percentages work, what each type of error is, what a self-correction is, comprehension percentages, and types of comprehension errors. I have found that, with this information, parents are much better equipped to understand (and help improve) their child's reading level.
I hope you can find this tool helpful in your classroom. Please let me know if you have any questions.
