I love to have all student's reading levels in one area to quickly reference when asked by a parent or administrator for reading information so I don't look silly searching through binders to find a running record to know the accuracy or rate or whatever they are asking for. This recording sheet has worked best for me because it keeps me accountable for having a running record and reading level for each student every nine weeks. I can quickly look at the sheet and see who I need to do a running record on to make sure that I am accurate with my data. I use Fountas and Pinnell, so that is what I write in the first section, but you can write whatever reading program you use in that section.
