This bookmark keeps a log of the students' start and stop pages by date, with an additional space for the student to list how many pages in total were read that day. This gives an additional level of personal accountability.
In my class, we especially use these for the class sets of novels that stay in the room during novel studies, allowing students to each save their place in a shared book. The bookmarks have also proven very helpful for those students who always find themselves confused as they find themselves with a failing grade for their independent reading when the grading period winds down.
Tip: Item has been formatted to print each copy front and back, with the margins lined up for cutting. Print two-sided, flipped on the short-edge.
