Description
This reading log is designed to help children and their parents write a short recap of the book/books being read. It is designed to be given on a Friday so that the child can begin writing over the weekend.
There are 3 versions with:
**The weekend, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
**Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and Friday
**Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5
The students keep the log throughout the week in their responsibility folders and return it on Friday morning. There are reading strategies with sentence starters as well. The strategies included are: Summarize, predict, evaluate, question, connect, and visualize. There are places to write the title, author, minutes read, and parent signature. There is also a place to place a reading goal. It can be a general goal for your class, reading group, or individual.
