This reading log encourages students to record their thinking while reading. Students will record their purpose for reading, make predictions, capture thoughts and questions, as well as collect any unknown or interesting words. Students can use the same log twice. For example, on one day, the student would enter information into all six fields under number one and the next day, the student would enter information into all six fields under number two. The log can be used on the same day with different books or on different days with the same or different books. This can also be used as a formative assessment to monitor student reading growth. This reading log can be used at home or in school.
