Reading Response Choice Board for Independent Reading Remote / Distance Learning

Description
This resource is designed to provide accountability for students’ reading while encouraging them to think deeply about their reading. Students will read for at least 20 minutes each day. Then, they’ll review a Reading Choice Board filled with 16 creative reading response challenges. Students will select a reading response to complete on a separate piece of notebook paper. Finally, they’ll track their progress as they complete a chart and color in books on the Reading Tracker. They can track their reading and complete tasks for 10 days (or two weeks).
This resource includes everything you and students will need to be successful: Detailed Directions Page, Reading Choice Board (with fun tasks), a Reading Tracker, and even a Grading Rubric.
No prep needed!
IN THE CLASSROOM:
- Use with an INDEPENDENT READING PROGRAM.
- Have students select different challenges to share in LITERATURE CIRCLES.
- Let students choose a task for homework.
- Complete the challenges while reading a SHORT STORY.
REMOTE LEARNING:
- Print and photocopy the Directions Page, Choice Board, and Reading Tracker for students. Have students work on them at home while reading a book of their choice.
- Email parents the student materials to share with their child. A link to a PDF that you can email home is included.
