Each of these menus includes 12 activities for students to choose between to show their understanding of a fiction or nonfiction book. (12 choices for fiction, 12 choices for nonfiction.)
They require no preparation on your behalf, and the students will need no supplies other than paper, pencils, and (for some of the choices) crayons or colored pencils. Depending on how involved students are in these activities, they could be completed in one subject period or over several days.
These activity choices will please the writers, artists, musicians, performers, word lovers, and creative minds in your class. They make great whole-class activities, center choices, or extension activities for the gifted/quicker learners in the room.
