Do you want you students to think about the lesson and be able to articulate what they have read? This journal will allow you to get important information and feedback from your students!
This journal prompts the students to think about what they learned, what they enjoyed/disliked about the lesson, make predictions about what will happen next, and identify the questions they have about the lesson. I also included a page where students can draw about the lesson they read. I used this in my English class, but it can easily be used in ANY subject for ANY grade!
This lesson also makes for very good discussions. In total, I used this in two forty-five minute class periods: one period to complete the journal and one period to discuss their responses.
