Reading Response Notebook : Fiction and Nonfiction Writing Prompts

This notebook contains 38 universal Reading Response Prompts to go with fiction and nonfiction texts. Students can respond to their independent reading book or to a story read in class. Students are encouraged to cite evidence and use evidenced based terms in their responses. There are 25 fiction prompts and 13 nonfiction prompts.

These Reading Response Prompts cover many integral skills, promote higher level thinking and comprehension. Examples of included prompts are:

This product can be used for weekly prompts with their independent reading books, where students can choose a prompt that correlates to what they are reading.
