4 pages of reading response task cards for a total of 16 response questions for fiction & non-fiction texts.
Questions are generic enough to apply to nearly all texts, and cards are color-coded to easily differentiate between questions for non-fiction and fiction texts. All questions are open-ended to encourage students to think critically about the texts they have read, and to encourage higher-order thinking. Each card contains 2 or more related questions to aid students in expanding on their thoughts.
Perfect for differentiation!! All questions allow students to answer at their level, and in their own way! Students can answer in 2-3 sentences, or several paragraphs. Students can respond in a way that is most accessible for them: written response, teacher conference, class discussion, assistive technology, etc...
Task cards can be used in a wide variety of ways: as part of an independent study, guided reading lessons, literature circles, reading response journals, class discussions, etc.
