Graphic organizers for book responses and/or classroom introduction of genres that cover a variety of reading strategies!
In my class, students are challenged to read 30 books during the school year, trying for 10 each trimester. We encourage them to read from a variety of genres (listed below) and respond to their reading by filling out a page in their Reader's Response book
My team is introducing and focusing on a few genres per trimester, and is helping students complete those genres by doing book talks, picture or chapter book read alouds (to hook them in to a new genre/series,) and book tastings/speed dating.

I have included a "Suggested Books" list with both picture and chapter books. After completing a page with students, I will continue to update this resource with pictures of the completed pages, to give you ideas!
My team is printing 11-12 pages: a few genre specific (printing x2 of each genre organizer side-by-side and is completing one WITH the students so they are aware of expectations,) as well as some blank organizers, and the sequel/series page for each trimester in a booklet. I have included these in the resource to give you an idea of how my team is organize our reading.
