Responding to reading is a skill that helps students move beyond simply reading a book to actually analyzing a book and thinking deeply about its contents.
This resource provides everything you need to have your students work on quality reading responses throughout the school year.
Included are response activities for:
agree or disagree
cause and effect
compare and contrast
point of view
Each response sheet is written so it can be used with any book at any time during the year. Included are smaller page topper directions students can glue on the top of a page in their reading notebook. I have also included blackline masters for students to show their work for the visualizing, character, cause and effect, and compare and contrast responses.
These reading responses align with the common core standards for literature.
