This project includes instructions, a reading comprehension (biography about a band)with comprehension questions, grammar questions about the reading, a song from the band with blanks to be filled in, the song itself and a small grammar portion for the song. Students usually read first and answer the questions, etc. We then play the song and they try to fill in the blanks as they listen It is excellent for listening comprehension as well. Later, we then SING the song ! The grammar portion may be done for homework along with some questions about the meaning of the song. Students really enjoy this type of project and are continually asking for another one. I try to incorporate one of these into my lessons every six weeks. !Disfruta!
Note : You will need to get the song in order to be able to play it in the classroom.
*** If using this for third year, you may need to change the grammar portion or the blanks for the song which is easy to do. The reading portion is challenging and would be very appropriate for third year Spanish.
