Product Description
There are many ways teachers model strategies in school. Just to name a few: during a mini lesson, strategy group, conference, interactive read aloud, shared reading, and interactive writing. After a strategy is taught, teachers like to give students a reminder or artifact of the strategy so that they can practice it during their independent time. But where do students keep these strategy sticky notes without losing them? Our Reading Strategies Sticky Note Holder will help students keep track of the artifacts you give them so that they can continue to practice the strategies on a daily basis. When you open this saddle stitched, 8 1/2 by 11 card, on the left hand side, are 6 boxes for strategy sticky notes. These are the strategies you have taught them that they still need to practice on their own. On the right hand side, are 6 boxes too. As students become proficient in the strategies on the left hand side, they move the sticky note to the right hand side. The right hand side are all the strategies your students can do independently. Not only will this Reading Strategies Sticky Note Holder track how your students are progressing with their strategies, but it will also allow students to self-monitor their own learning, set personal goals, and build confidence as a reader.
