Product Description
Do your students ask questions while they read? Do they know the difference between thick and thin questions? This Powerpoint is a great way to introduce this reading strategy to the students. It discusses the four types of questions: clarifying, predicting, inferring, and pondering. The students practice asking these types of questions so that they can apply this knowledge in their read to self books. The lesson ends explaining the difference between thin and thick questions. To ensure that the students are grasping this concept, I give my students an "Asking Questions" thinkmark. You can find my reading strategy thinkmarks on my homepage.
