This package contains seven (2”x 5.5”) double sided bookmarks.
Two of these were made especially with parents in mind. These bookmarks, with the “children are made readers in the laps of their parents” quote by Emilie Buchwald on one side, have comprehension questions and decoding prompts, respectively, on the other. Help parents understand the importance of listening to children read and give them these bookmarks for use when volunteering in the classroom or when reading with their children at home.
The remainder of the bookmarks were made with children in grades two through five in mind. Readers in every classroom have a range of abilities. Help your students to remember and access reading rules and strategies by providing them with five differentiated bookmarks in your classroom library or during guided reading to fit their needs. Introduce each after teaching a mini-lesson.
Bookmarks are two to a page for economical printing. Each bookmark also has a page of information and suggestions for use.
