These reading strategy cards will make your children excited about reading. As a classroom teacher I am always looking for ways to save time and energy. I recommend using small baseball sized protective sleeves to store the reading strategies. I like to store the large poster cards in large plastic sleeves. You can purchase the baseball and large protective sleeves from Amazon and Wal-mart. The large poster strategy cards work great when introducing a reading strategy in large group and small groups. You could also put the cards on a ring and send them home for extra practice. My students keep their baseball sleeve in their book box to use during private reading as well as strategy groups. Other teachers like to store the baseball sleeve of reading strategies in a 3 ring binder. The children can keep the binder in their book box along with other important reading materials. I also recommend copying the strategy cards on colored cardstock paper. I would copy the matching large poster card on the same colored paper as the small cards. Lastly, you can color code the reading strategies by level. The cards are designed for readers level A-F. The cards are in no specific order when printed, but can be organized, copied, and cut easily. I really hope this helps you with your reading groups in your classroom and your children enjoy it as much as mine do!
