Product Description
This phonics pack is full of PHONICS supplemental material for Reading Street's Grade 3, I Wanna Iguana, focusing on the final syllable -le. I use the resources as independent work, small group supplements, and whole group activities during our course of study in addition to the material Reading Street provides.

Included in this pack:
Reading Street U2W2 phonics list
U2W2 Challenge list
Word cards used for displays, word sorts during guided reading, or partner games
4 Challenge worksheets including:
Challenge word sort
Challenge ABC order
Challenge syllable identification
Challenge story write
Decodable reader a
Decodable reader b
Decodable reader c
24 phonics task cards with recording sheet
Answer sheet included in both paper and QR code versions!
32 I have/who has game cards
Homework choice boards for additional practice

*The challenge phonics list follows the same phonics rule for the week with some overlapping words from the Reading Street list mixed with more challenging words.

*24 Phonics Task Cards are based off of Reading Street's standards and assessments. Questions follow a similar format as to those students are required to test on. These can be used as an independent center, in small group instruction, or a Scoot-Around-the-Room. These challenge cards have 2 types of questions:
1. identifying words that have been broken by syllables correctly
2. rewriting and inserting their own syllable breaks

**NEW** QR codes included for answer keys. Notice there are two QR codes for numbers 1-12 and 12-24. Students can scan codes and self correct their own work from any classroom device!

*32 I have/Who Has cards are a ~*challenge*~! My third graders absolutely love this activity but it requires everyone working together and listening to find the correct words. This was designed purposefully to be a higher level thinking game rather than a typical call and response game like I have/Who has cards you may be familiar with.
